CHRISTMAS - Yep its time we had that talk ...

Hey Pretties ...

Its that time of year again yep, the BEST in my opinion i love Christmas so so much it doesn't do well for my excitement mind you ... this year is my first Christmas with my boyfriend and I've spoilt him which i'm sure he wont be best pleased about but hey ho ... i'm sure he will forgive me ... as you see hes hurt his leg and has to have time off work right before Christmas :( poor sausage! ... SO this, right now, me writing this blog post means that its time to get those festive little thoughts going on ... cheap and easy ways to give the best gifts to your loved ones this year.

I'll start by telling you what I've purchased my boyfriend so far ... now it begins with our holiday back in July we got these matching bracelets which were plaited leather and a metal plate on the front saying our star signs, now when he has his x-ray he had to have it cut off as it wouldn't untie :( boo! ...so i shopped around to get something the same but something i could have a personal message inscribed on to, until i found -
 1. Personalised jewellery - www.notonthehighstreet.com i found the exact thing i wanted for a fraction of the price id thought it'd be ... for the bracelet alone which was a very thick stainless steal and leather plaited detail was 36.00 GBP for the inscription on either side it was 6.00 GBP a side which i thought was cheap as they were plenty of fonts to choose from!
i dont have the exact link as they dont sell it anymore boo :( but heres something similar ... and you can pay with paypal too! woohoo - http://www.notonthehighstreet.com/mercimaman/product/engraved-plate-bracelet
2. A jar of notes - i thought of an idea for those couples that like keeping that little spark in there relationship and that love cute little notes to each other and still get butterflys at those cute texts and emails and love notes on the fridge that there partner leaves them ... well what better gift to give someone than a jar of notes, but my partner knows that i wouldnt be me without putting a lil' twist in there ... so the rules are ... he has 52 notes one for every sunday of the year and each note will have something cute on it such as memories, little quotes, things to make him laugh and lots of little things like that ... but ive gone hardcore and even checked what Sundays fall on important dates (if there isnt any then you can just proceed with the cuteness of note writing) ... this can literalt cost anything from 1GBP to 10GBP you can get a jar from poundland, wilkinsons, pound stretcher any pound store will do and then all you need is paper to write your notes on and scissors to cut them up and fold them, i will be numbering mine because i know what hes like ....

3. FOOD - The quickest way to a mans heart or .... most human hearts is food, everybody loves food ... now my better half loves his food and yet still stays as perfect as always (lucky sod) ... but he loves his steak, minstrels, milkshake, tuna napolini (not sure how its spelt haha!) but he just LOVES food. who doesn't ....
so this year i am putting together a little hamper of things he loves some things that need to be chilled or kept cooler i would suggest buying a couple days before or you could get it a few days/weeks before and hide it in a cool box or in the fridge! my hamper consists of the most random things youll ever have heard being in a hamper but here goes ... pataks madras paste (b e a u tiful ), a jar full of minstrels and lots of other sweeties (not yet decided) muller rice toffee flavour, tins of tuna, butterscotch milkshake from tesco & STEAK. ( could be a hard one to hide haha and wrap for that matter! ) its not a big hamper as id have to carry it to the car! sounds like it could get very heavy! but this can cost anything between £20-£50 it depends what you put in there and it doesn't just have to be food which brings me to my next idea ...

4. Little box of goodies - You can get all sorts of 'make it yourself' gift ideas but one of my favorite's that i do for pretty much everyone is my 'Little box of goodies' this consists of there favorite things whether it be food or clothes, jewellery, shoes, makeup, music ... it can be anything! that's the best bit ... For my mum this year i have ... some jewellery my mum is very classic, timeless and simple ... so this year i purchased a lovely necklace from a jewellers in my local town that hand makes jewelry, as im already spoiling her for her birthday i thought it best to keep it simple for Christmas but if i had the money i would get a kate spade pendant necklace or something from tiffanys or swarovski!
For children ... as i do have cousins that are still very little and my boyfriend has neices ... i purchased alot of things from poundland it sounds cheap i know but children get given so much at christmas that some things dont even get a look in and id rather spend £20 on loads of little things i know they like than one toy which might not get played with or might break or they grow out of quite quick ... so i thought ahead and whilst browsing through poundland i went crazy! i bought dress up outfits and accessories, drawing pads and kits with paints, drawing pencils and stencils and what not ... i also got all of them a christmas activity pack which had little reindeers and santas you could make out of play doe and little fluffy bobbles and glitter to paint your own christmas scene!
& for the male species i bought GADGETS AND GIZMO'S - and socks! yes socks ... men need socks they may not admit it but they go through them like they're going out of fashion ...
first of all - Daddykins' - i bought him socks ;), some thermal gloves, a flask as he loves his tea at work, some reading glasses to carry round with him in a little box, a mini first aid kit haha! as he has very dry skin and it breaks alot :( ... his fave magazines which is XBOX erghh, and photography ... admitedly these dont fit in a box unless its A4 size which i got from a UK store called DUNELM MILLS ... i also got him mini teabags and sachets of hot chocolate so he never runs out, i got a mini screwdriver kit and when i say mini i mean like the size of a playing card! :) so cute! ... i also bought him maynards wine gums .. dear jesus ... this man could live off of those bloody things!

maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan are my fingers tired its 2.00 in the mornin here in the UK and ima going ta bed y'all :) i will write episode 2 of my christmas gift guides with a few do it yourself for those fashionista's in your life ;)

night pretties xoxo victoria

LUSH HAUL

SO, im very sorry guys after i made my vow of blogging everyday up until january the 1st my laptop decided to have a techno breakdown!

but im back (shadys back, back again) right down to buisness...

i recently took a little trip to LUSH to put there skincare to the test when its the (ladys time of the month) or just when my skin decides to hate me and give me bloody spots i need a little pick me up routine to keep it at bay and hopefully get the glowing skin i want, i do suffer from oily skin which is a pain in the arse.

sometimes my skin is combination but most of the time its oily which is very frustrating as foundation rarely stays on for long if any of you have any recommendations for a long lasting foundation please do let me know :) ...

first up its HERBALISM - described as something to help with spots, grease and calm troubled skin - sounds perfecto'

Now this little beauty has done pure WONDERS to my skin i use it with my facial cleansing tool/brush which is pretty much the cheap version on the clarisonic MIA but as im a cheap skate and refuse to fork out 150 pounds for something that might not work i got the ebay version i will post the link here > http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-in-1-Electric-Vibrating-Face-Skin-Care-Cleaner-Brush-Massager-wrinkle-removal-/150936249637?pt=UK_Health_Massage_RL&hash=item2324806525 ... its bloody brilliant it is from china so depending where you are in the worl shipping is about 2-3 weeks so bare that in mind, also as this cleanser is green it does stain it a little but it still works wonders with normal face wash and doesnt stain your skin green.
Herbalism smells very natural almost woodland kind of smell its a dark forest green colour as you can see, its not greasy or slimey it also doesnt leave a film over your skin once used, it makes you skin feel very clean, refreshed and very smooth and cuts down on alot of grease my skin was dry afterwards not dry enough to need moisturising straight away but just a non-greasy feeling dryness. it retails for 6.25 for 100g which is quite substantial for me as i only use it 2-3 times a week.

Tea Tree Toner Tabs -  whilst browsing around as you do i saw these little gems they were only a pound each i bought 4 so as you can see down below i have 2 left, they work just as well as the gel im going to mention later on, theres all sorts of things little old wives tales that such things as withc hazel and tea tree are good for acne and more spot prone skin so for 1 pounds i thought why not this could become my little weekly pick me ups for my poorly skin! booo :( .. they smell beautiful like tea tree oil (obviously). theyre a light blue colour about as big as a 2 pound coin (UK) ... they simply work with water, you wet them down a little give them a little rub and then rub them into your skin they foam a tiny bit and give your skin a big cleanse which leaves it feeling fresh and tingly they have helped to reduce dark marks (scarring from spots) and also help reduce the red nasty little buggers that creep up on you, i mostly get spots when im stressed o when ive been a little lazy with my skin care and the oil has a major overload and blocks all the pours which creates a build up of bacteria which reaches the surface and causes SPOTS.

The next little gem is GREASE LIGHTNING spot treatment. - Described ... striking the spot with lightning precision, dab on this super tea tree and witch hazel gel to zap zits before they show themselves.

i have used this quite abit it smells bloody lovely i like the 'medical' smell as my mother would say its very fresh and smells like it would do some good to those pesky' spots. it apply's as a very cold clear gel but drys into the skin in seconds, simply dab it onto the problem area maybe before bed or whilst your having a relaxing bath which is what i tend to do before a big day or even before a night out. it reduces the spots appearance some have even completely gone by the morning, it also helps reduce dark spots and redness caused by acne/spots.

and for the last cheeky little Gem .. we have OCEAN SALT EXFOLIATOR ... described as - Lashings of fine sea salt to scrub and clean, organic limes to brighten and avacado butter to soften your skin .... this little beauty smells beautiful as all products ive mentioned so far its got that fresh sent that is just absolutely beautiful its very refreshing some look different to others i have seen some that are a royal blue colour whereas mine is a aqua green with a little bit of sky blue swirling through it, its very thick and you only need a little, simply dab it under tap and apply to the skin it lathers up nicely and feels like its really doing your skin justice it feels like its taking all those horrible greasy layers off of my skin and leaving a fresh new one after using this i do spritz my face with boots botanics rose water spritz just to make the refreshed feeling last a little whilst i sleep sometimes if i really feel like giving my skin some serious TLC i use a tiny dab of sudocrem dear god that stuff is a miracle worker ....

so that my gorgeous bloggers is my little lush haul sorry if its abit rambly i tend to do that when i get over excited (hahaha) id love to know your favourite skin care products please feel free to leave a comment down below :)

Cosmetic Fairy Mini Haul

Hey there, yes you, looking at the screen reading this ...

LONG TIME NO SEE.

i promised myself that i'd get into blogging as its something i love and i often find myself sipping a lovely cuppa' delving into my favourite blogs seeing what everyone's been up to  SO ... as of today yep today. i vow that i will take one hour of my life everyday until January the 1st to tell you lovely lot what i've been doing and (buying oops!)

Now as the title says - cosmeticfairy.co.uk - is actually bloody amazing very very very discounted makeup products all BRAND NEW! in my next post which i will be calling the LIPSTICK LEAGUE i bought 39 items for £41.00 yes thats right < !!! i went lipstick crazy i decided to just give it ago and only pick fall colours i found some of my now favorite lipsticks! i found vampy reds, beautiful plum/lilac colours i found everything i was looking for a couple of dudds but that is to be expected.

This post however is my second order from this company! very fast delivery none of my items were broken or scratched and i even got some BENEFIT eyeshadows for 3.50 each (i think! )

... heres the first one Getaway. . .
And this other little beauty is Soft shoulder . . .

These eye shadows are truly beautiful they are perfect if your a neutral eye lover, they have quite a good consistency very creamy, however the price tag is what puts most people off they retail between £10-12 which is a tad expensive however i did purchase these at a very discounted price they are brand new in the box, untouched (the swipe on the ones you can see was me doing a lil swatchy' oops.)

now time for some lippyy products .  .  .

These are the Maybelline Colour Sensational Lip Stains in Bitten Berry & Cranberry Crush

Bitten berry - The pinker one of the two, its a 'your lip but better' type of shade very girly and sweet looks great on most skin tones as some of my cheeky friends decided to give it a try! naughty girls! ...
i love these i got these on a whim i love lipstains as it requires no effort if youve got a ridiculously busy day and you need a pop of colour to make it look like you spent more than two seconds getting ready before work/school ... they are scented very fruity scents the cranberry crush actually resembles cranberrys! ... they dont have a funny taste and i havnt foudn that they bleed or smudge which is always a bonus, they can be layered for a deeper colour and they dont go PATCHY yayyy :) . . .

Cranberry Crush - this colour is absolutely gorgeous my favourite of the 2, you can layer this colour to get a deeper shade which to me is perfect for autumn if your not a deep coloured lip lover then just one simple application will be just as perfect as layering it as it gives that perfect 'cranberry' colour, smells bloody amazing too...

Now this ... This is L'oreal paris Nail Colour in - Imperial Plum

i applied one coat and it was very patchy, this product wasnt as good as i wanted it to be :( after 3 coats it was a very bland colour didnt look very amazing .... this colour is a very deep plum very dark and i thought it would be a perfect autumn shade, but it didnt live up to my expectstions - however its not all bad i purchased another colour from this range called 'Breaking Curfew' this is bloody beautiful! glides on like a dream its alot lighter than this shade but still very plummy/berry kinda colour much like Essies - 'Bahama Mama' which is one of my ultimate favourites ever ever ever! i think i may re-purchase one of these polishes from this range again as i think i may have just got a bad egg :( . . .

This little sweetie is L'oreal Paris Studio Secrets - eye shadow qaud.
126 - Glistening Seashells.

This Palette gave very good first impressions the colour's are beautiful they however aren't extremely pigmented the most pigmented colour is the deep brown on the bottom left, they are very shimmery and pretty but the colour pay off is abit rubbish.

Overall this order turned out well, i will talk more about cosmeticfairy.co.uk in my next post that will be up tomoro - THE LIPSTICK LEAGUE -  there will be a few other products thrown in there too guys!.

but for now toodle pip my lovelys
